Teachers for Global Classrooms has been a bank of information for new ways in assessing our 21st century global students/citizens. Through a wide variety of educational material I have been introduced to a variety of new ways of assessing my World Language Spanish speakers. With the help of EdSteps (www.edsteps.org) and a writing by Fred Czarra (Global Education Checklist for Teachers, Schools, School Systems and State Education Agencies) I have become more aware of technology based assessments for my kindergarten - middle school students. Understanding that students need to work on their global competencies, EdSteps has created a Global Competence Matrix for World Languages in four categories:
Investigate the World,
Recognize Perspepctives
Communicate Ideas
Take Action
